“Russia has consistently advocated for the intensification of the dialogue, firstly, between the Kurds and the Syrian government (and is already promoting it), and secondly, between Ankara and Damascus,” Kosachev wrote on Facebook.

He also noted Russia's readiness to support the search for necessary solutions and communications along the parliamentary line, emphasizing that "now is the time for active diplomacy."

Earlier, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the Russian side has a positive attitude towards the extension of Turkey’s operation “Source of Peace” to the Syrian city of Kobani.

On October 13, Erdogan said that Ankara has no problems with Moscow regarding the situation in Syria.
