Including the Deputy Chairman of the Generality of Catalonia, Oriol ункunkeras was sentenced to 13 years in prison, ex-advisers to the regional government Raul Romeva, Jordi Turul and Dolors Bassa were sentenced to 12 years in prison. Zhunkeras, Romev, Turul and Bassu were found guilty of organizing a rebellion and embezzlement of state funds.
Former Speaker of the Parliament of Catalonia, Carme Forkadell, was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison. Former advisers to the Government of Catalonia, Joaquim Forn and Josep Rule, each received 10.5 years in prison. Community leaders Jordi Quichard and Jordi Sanchez were sentenced to nine years in prison.
A number of former members of the Catalan government have been fined.
An emergency government meeting was convened in Catalonia in November 2018 due to indictment of Catalan politicians.
