In Rostrud reported double wages on holidays


The Rostrud said that the employer is obliged to provide an extra day of rest or to pay double the amount of work if the employee goes to work on a non-working holiday.

As stated by RIA Novosti in the department, the employer has the right to engage in work on holidays and weekends only with the written consent of the employee. In addition, the organization must draw up a written order or order.

The remuneration of citizens who work on a piece-rate basis should be calculated at double rates. The same algorithm should be used when calculating salaries for people who work at tariff rates.

The Rostrud clarified that going to work on a holiday should be motivated. For example, the implementation of unforeseen urgent work, on which the normal functioning of the enterprise depends.

Earlier, Rostrud said that Moscow and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk are leading in the ranking of Russian cities in terms of salaries.

In addition, the department reminded that in connection with the celebration of National Unity Day in November, Russians are waiting for a three-day weekend - from November 2 to 4.
