The Nagatinsky district court of the capital ordered a 62-year-old resident of Moscow to transfer a six-year-old grand-nephew, whose parents are in prison, to an orphanage. According to representatives of the social protection department, a pensioner, out of selfish motives, violated the child’s property rights by renting his apartment at a lower price and not coordinating this procedure with guardianship authorities. Thus, the woman wanted to receive money for utility bills. According to her, she did not know about the existence of benefits that exempt orphans from housing and communal services. At the same time, claims to her as a guardian did not arise earlier.
