The Turkish army and Syrian opposition forces sent military reinforcements to the outskirts of Manbij city, west of the Euphrates in Aleppo eastern countryside.

Al-Jazeera correspondent quoted the Syrian opposition that its forces would advance to the city of Manbij if the regime's military convoys arrived in the city.

It is noteworthy that Manbij lies west of the Euphrates River, and neither Turkey nor the opposition carried out any military operation within the spring of peace, which centered between the cities of Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad east of the Euphrates in northern Syria.

The Kurdish self-administration in northern Syria announced that it had agreed with the Syrian regime to deploy its forces along the Syrian-Turkish border to repel what it called "Turkish aggression," and said Syrian television that military units began to move north.

The Kurdish administration - in a statement issued Sunday - that it was agreed with the Syrian government "which has the duty to protect the borders of the country and maintain Syrian sovereignty, to intervene the Syrian army and spread along the Syrian-Turkish border."

The Kurdish administration said that this agreement also provides an opportunity to liberate other Syrian cities entered by the Turkish army, such as Afrin, as she put it.

The ISF official in the Kurdish self-administration, Esmat Sheikh Hassan, said that the administration reached an agreement with Russia to hand over the city of Ain al-Arab (Kobani) to the Syrian regime.

Yassin Aktay, an advisor to the head of the Turkish Justice and Development Party, said his country is continuing its military operation "spring of peace" despite the announcement of an agreement between the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian regime to allow regime forces into the northeastern areas of Syria.

Claims to stop the operation
Politically, France and Germany demanded that Turkey stop the military operation against the so-called SDF forces in northeastern Syria.

French President Emmanuel Macron said after the summit with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Paris that the military operation has caused an unsustainable humanitarian situation and increased the risk of the return of ISIS.

For her part, Merkel said she spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and told him the need to put an end to the military operation.

In a related context, said the French presidency after an urgent meeting of the government, France will take action in the coming hours to ensure the safety of its army and civilian personnel in northeastern Syria.

France has special forces in the region as part of its participation in the US-led coalition fighting IS.

Since October 9, Turkish forces and the opposition Syrian National Army have been carrying out a military operation dubbed the "spring of peace" to drive out Kurdish units from the border areas east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria, and establish a "safe area" Ankara says it will work.
