The statement is published on the website of the European External Relations Service.

“The Council again urges Turkey to cease unilateral military operations in northeast Syria and withdraw its troops,” the report said.

The EU declared the urgent need for the efforts of the international community, including the UN Security Council, to end Turkey’s unilateral military operations.

The EU countries also agreed to coordinate the policy on the supply of weapons to Ankara.

“An appropriate Council working group will convene later this week to coordinate and review the positions of member states on this issue,” the EU said.

Earlier, Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reinders said that European countries are planning to discuss the introduction of an arms embargo on the supply of arms to the Turkish side on October 14.
