Many Iraqi singers have expressed solidarity with the country's protesters, who have come out with peaceful protests calling for fighting corruption, providing jobs and improving services by offering new songs in support of them.

The most recent of these songs was released by singer Hossam al-Rassam, entitled "Iraq Elna" in support of the demonstrators.

Singer Muhannad Mohsen also sang "Iraq Alna" in support of the demonstrations that have swept Baghdad and southern cities since October 1.

Before that, star Kazem al-Saher republished his song "Youth of Iraq", which he had released years ago, two days after the outbreak of the demonstrations. He posted his song on his Twitter page in a message of support for the protesters.

Singers Hossam al-Rassam, Qasim Al-Sultan, Ali Bader and Saif Amer also released a joint song to express their solidarity.

It is noteworthy that Iraq has been witnessing since the first of this month demonstrations in Baghdad and other cities in the south against corruption, unemployment and poor services, and left more than a hundred dead and thousands wounded.
