This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The case was initiated under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Violation of the rules of the road, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence”).
It is specified that the maximum punishment under this article is imprisonment for up to seven years.
According to preliminary data, the driver of the Lada Priora car drove into the oncoming lane and collided with Hyundai.
As a result, five people were killed, including a child in Lada. Five people in Hyundai were also injured.
