According to RIA Novosti, the voting procedure began at 7:00 (8:00 Moscow time) and will last until 21:00 (22:00 Moscow time).

Seimas deputies will be elected on open party lists in proportion to 41 multi-member constituencies, Senate members - in 100 single-member constituencies.

Nine political parties participate in the elections: “Polish Peasant Party” (PSL), “Law and Justice” (PiS), “Union of Democratic Left” (SLD), “Confederation”, “Civil Coalition” (KO), “Right”, “Deceived retirees”, “Non-partisan and self-government” and “Effective”.

In August, Polish leader Andrzej Duda scheduled parliamentary elections for October 13th.
