According to the agency, in the evening on the 217th km of the Tambov-Penza highway two cars collided, as a result of which one person was hospitalized.
Police officers arrived at the scene of the accident; they installed a car on the side of the road with flashing lights on.
“The driver of the Kamaz car, traveling in the same direction, shot down two police officers and two civilians participating in the accident, who were on the carriageway in the process of processing the material on the accident,” the Interior Ministry said.
Because of the incident, a 38-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman died on the spot from injuries. Two police officers were hospitalized. A criminal case has been opened.
Earlier, five people were killed in an accident near Kaluga.
