“It was established that the conflict occurred between market traders and persons extorting money from them for the right to trade,” the agency said.
Police questioned the participants and witnesses of the fight, seized material evidence, including recordings from video surveillance cameras.
The alleged organizer of the ransomware group, the 31-year-old repeatedly convicted local resident, as well as his accomplice, were detained.
A mass brawl near the Khiloksky market in Novosibirsk took place on October 7. During the conflict, five people were injured, two were hospitalized.
