Boulogne-Levallois and Monaco have confirmed their excellent start to the season by winning, on the outside, their fourth victory in four days on Saturday in the French Basketball Championship.

The Metropolitans, chaired since this season by Boris Diaw, went to dominate Strasbourg at the Rhénus, 97 to 81. The Roca Team has largely imposed itself against Limoges in Beaublanc, 86 to 66.

Both teams are among the five still unbeaten with Bourg-en-Bresse, who won Friday against Orleans 90 to 79, Villeurbanne and Dijon. ASVEL (who has already played four games) and JDA will compete Sunday (16:00) in Burgundy.

Boulogne-Levallois left no chance to the GIS winning all quarter-time. The Hauts-de-Seine club relied on its trio of Americans, Jamel Artis, Briante Weber and Rob Gray, authors in their own right of 65 points. For Monaco, it was also the Americans who made the difference: JJ O'Bryen (18 points), Eric Buckner (16) and Dee Bost (13). Strasbourg and Limoges suffered their third defeat in four games.

In a bad pass too, Chalon-sur-Saone lost at home against Châlons-Reims 83 to 75. Yannis Morin scored 22 points and took 13 rebounds for the Champenois who balanced their balance sheet as Nanterre, Pau-Orthez, Cholet and Gravelines (Friday).

The Nanterrians easily dominated Le Mans 98-79, with 22 points from Spencer Butterfield. For Cholet, winner of Boulazac 94 to 90, the best man of the match was Michael Stockton (12 points, 8 assists). Portel remains the only team without a win after losing to Pau-Orthez 64-57.
