To date, 120 million girls worldwide, one in 10, have suffered rapes or other forced sexual acts; up to 30% of minors linked to armed groups are girls often used as sex slaves; only this year 2.4 million girls or 4 every minute will marry before they are 15 years old. In particular, those living in countries affected by conflict or other humanitarian crises are often the most vulnerable of all.

In the world, more than 1 in 3 girls, 35%, in their lives have suffered physical or sexual violence from their partner or other men and among girls between the ages of 14 and 21, 66% have received attention sexual abuse or unwanted harassment in a public place. Moreover, more than 80% of married children before the age of 18 are women.
