Neither two public salaries nor candidate 10-N. Gonzalo Javier Díaz Tomasich, who had two salaries in charge of the public treasury as a councilor in Collado Villalba and an advisor in the City of Coslada, has been dismissed this Friday by the mayor of Costa Rica, the socialist Ángel Viveros , after information from EL MUNDO. In addition, Díaz Tomasich has also resigned to integrate the candidacy of Más País by Madrid to the 10-N elections.

The mayor of Coslada has dismissed Díaz Tomasich as an advisor to the Department of Economy, Employment, Commerce and Transportation, where he charged 46,000 euros annually and had exclusive dedication , although this work combined him with that of a half-day mayor in the City of Collado Villalba for More Madrid, charging another 18,000 euros a year.

In the City Council of Costa Rica, after receiving the call from EL MUNDO to ask for the double salary of Díaz Tomasich and verify his status as a councilman in another session, they already assured Thursday that he would not continue to be hired as temporary staff.

In the environment of the mayor, the socialist Ángel Viveros, pointed out that he would have to leave this occupation either through the formula of resignation, cessation or dismissal, because "even if it was not incompatible it does not seem ethical."

Finally, the mayor has chosen to cease it.

In addition, Díaz Tomasich will not continue on the Errejón list to the November 10 elections since he has submitted his resignation. Sources from Más País affirm that it was the candidate himself who resigned last Tuesday alleging "personal reasons", although in the official lists published by the BOE a day later, on Wednesday 9, he continued as number 22 of the candidate of the leader of the New formation for Madrid.

Sources from More Country, who told EL MUNDO that they were unaware of this situation but had already been required "a solution", argue that in the next few days the Electoral Board will erase its name from the list to the Congress of Deputies.

Díaz Tomasich began his political career linked to Podemos . In February 2019 he decided to join the alternative party created by Errejón because the purple formation had failed to "touch the necessary keys in order to continue mobilizing the popular sectors," as justified in an article in El Plural .

For now he remains as Councilor of More Madrid in the City Council of Collado Villalba. Díaz Tomasich argues that the Law on Incompatibilities of Personnel in the Service of Public Administrations allowed him to combine both occupations and receive compensation for both. "Working hours and schedules are compatible," he said in statements to EL MUNDO.
