- That we succeeded in being named as the only Swedish destination in 2019 and the fifth so far in Sweden is really fun and a reward to all of us. It is the result of targeted and long-term development work in collaboration with the area's stakeholders. With nature as a raw material, it is important to take responsibility and to use without consuming, ”says Karin Nilsson, project manager for development work in Destination Åsnen in the press release.
It was at a conference with Green Destinations in Croatia that it was revealed that Åsnen ended up on the list. Karin is present in Croatia where she is invited, among other things, to speak on the topic "Tourism to promote nature and biodiversity" and receive the award.
