11 October 2019The secretary general of the Nato, the Norwegian Jens Stoltenberg, after the meeting in Ankara with the Turkish president Recep Erdoğan assured that "an exclusion of Turkey from the Atlantic Pact is out of the question".

Stoltenberg, head of the international organization composed of 29 countries, including Turkey, said: "The divergence of views can always be resolved, but Turkey is certainly the
our ally who most of all suffered terrorist attacks and welcomed the highest number of refugees ".

Erdoğan has already warned the European Union that it will "open the doors to 3.6 million refugees and send them to you". Turkey stated in a letter to the UN Security Council - consisting of 15 countries, 5 permanent and 10 non-permanent - that its military operation is "proportionate, measured and responsible".

The NATO, born April 4, 1949 in Washington, has "a divergence of views" explains Stoltenberg about the Turkish offensive in the north-east of Syria and in the region of Rojava, Kurdish territory under the Ypg from 2016.
