Canada's Cirque du Soleil inaugurated on Thursday in Barcelona the show "Messi10", inspired by the history of the Argentine star of football, the first show of the company devoted to a sporting theme.
Lionel Messi attended with his companion Antonella Roccuzzo at the inauguration of the show, whose places were almost all sold despite at least a month of performances planned in the Catalan metropolis.
The show's numbers, which will then begin an international tour that will take him to Buenos Aires in 2020, are inspired by the Argentinian's journey from his native Rosario to football glory.
In a decor that recreates a stadium, the show, divided into two "half-time" of 45 minutes each, includes street football performances and is accompanied by live commentary, with a referee in the role of the clown.
"It's a show about ambition, (...) a show that, when you see it, makes you go out and be the best person you can be," director Mukhtar OS told reporters. Mukhtar.
