The substitute election of the House of Councilors Saitama constituency, which will be the first national election after the House of Councilors elections in July, was announced on the 10th, and two people were running for the 17-day campaign.

The candidate for the alternate election of the House of Councilors Saitama constituency is in order of notification,

This supplementary election will be held when Governor Ohno of Saitama resigns as a member of the House of Councilors to run for the governor election in August.

In this election, the local organizations of the Constitutional Democratic Party and the National Democratic Party are substantially supporting Mr. Ueda.

On the other hand, the Liberal Democratic Party refused to support the candidate because Mr. Ueda showed a positive idea in the discussion on the constitutional amendment.

In response, Mr. Tachibana was elected as the proportional representative of the House of Councilors election three months ago, but he resigned as a member and wanted to increase the number of seats in the party.
