Foreign Minister Ann Linde wants an arms embargo on Turkey. This was after the country attacked the Kurdish-controlled areas in northeastern Syria.
"As a result of this, tomorrow I will ask the Riksdag for support to work for the EU to impose sanctions on Turkey in the form of an arms embargo, that is, a ban on exporting weapons to Turkey," Ann Linde told Ekot in Swedish Radio.
Linde has also commented on the matter on her Facebook page. There, among other things, she writes that "the government will propose to the Riksdag that the EU should impose sanctions on Turkey in the form of an arms embargo - a ban on exporting weapons to Turkey".
