London / Berlin (AP) - The British musician Ozzy Osbourne (70) has canceled his European tour for 2020 - and also announced a new album.

In an Instagram video, he said, "I'm postponing the European tour because I'm not ready yet. I'm not retiring, I still have concerts to play, but when I return for the North American tour, I want to be one hundred percent ready to go out there and beat you from your damn stools. And besides, a new album is on the way. »

The part of his "No More Tours 2" tour planned for February / March 2020 in Europe is therefore being postponed for health reasons. The former frontman of the hard rock band Black Sabbath explains the reasons with an x-ray in the video: "As you may or may not know, I had a bad fall earlier this year. All the vertebrae in my neck were destroyed and I had to undergo surgery. Now I have more nuts and bolts in my neck than in my car. I'm not dying, I am recovering. It just takes a bit longer than expected. »

Osbourne had already at the beginning of the year, the postponement of all planned for 2019 concerts of his tour, including five in Germany and Switzerland, announced. He crashed in his Los Angeles home when recovering from severe pneumonia and spent months in the hospital. According to tour organizer «Live Nation», all European shows will be rescheduled in the first half of 2021.
