The Tunisian judiciary decided today to release presidential candidate Nabil Karoui, his lawyer Kamal Ben Messaoud said.

Ben Massoud confirmed that "the Court of Cassation abandoned the decision of the indictment chamber," which arrested the villager in late August.

A source from the electoral campaign for the villager was released, on Wednesday, in a decision of the Court of Cassation.

The source said he expects to leave the villager, who has been detained since August 23, later today, days before the second round of the presidential election, which is held next Sunday.
