Earlier, the international human rights organization Reporters Without Borders and the Presidential Council on Human Rights called on Iran to release Yuzik.

Tehran explained the detention of the Russian woman by visa violations.

Julia Yuzik was arrested on October 2 in a Tehran hotel.
