It is a "pre-trial" to be held on Thursday, where a judge will evaluate the prosecutor's evidence against the defense and from there decide whether there is sufficient reason to pursue the prosecution for trial.

The hearing will start at 17 Swedish time, 10 local time in Ecuador.

Ola Bini is now charged with data breach, a criminal offense that came to an end in August when the prosecutor suddenly changed the former criminal charge "attack on computer system integrity".

The defense claims that Ola Bini is innocent and is expected to prove that there has been no data breach at all.

Ola Bini was arrested April 11 earlier, the same day as friend and Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was arrested at Ecuador's Embassy in London. Ecuador's President Lenín Moreno has previously accused Ola Bini of hacking phones belonging to government members, but according to the prosecutor's new criminal classification, Bini is said to have made a data breach against state telecommunications company CNT.
