The 23-year-old man is wanted on probation for probable cause, which is the higher degree of suspicion, for murder and serious weapons crime.
The woman was found seriously injured in an apartment in Västervik on Tuesday morning after police received an alert about a gunshot. She was taken to hospital but later died from her injuries. In the apartment there was also the suspected perpetrator.
The arrest request states that the man is requested to be arrested by the prosecutor for not escaping, removing evidence or in any other way making the investigation more difficult.
