RAS AL KHAIMAH: The Criminal Court of Ras Al Khaimah yesterday examined the case of two young men of Gulf nationality accused of taking psychotropic substances (crystal substance) and possession of a narcotic syringe in the bathroom of a police station while they were arrested on charges of substance abuse. An anesthetic containing a crystal anesthetic was found by policemen in a bath of the company center during their arrest.


The first accused pleaded guilty to over-the-counter use of crystal psychotropic substances, and that he had injected crystal anesthetics into a police station bath during his arrest. He stated before the court that the crystal anesthetic injection found in the police station bath belonged to him and not the defendant. Second, contrary to what the defendant said in the investigations of the Public Prosecution and the police where he stated that the drug injected belong to him.


He explained that he had already been sentenced in a drug case in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for two years and was released from prison a short time ago, and the defendant asked the court to give him the opportunity to hire a lawyer to defend him before booking the case for judgment.
For his part, the second defendant denied the accusations against him, and stated before the court, that the statements made to the investigation of the police and the public prosecution was not aware of him and that he had never been tried in a drug case, and that the injection of drugs found in the bathroom of the company center For the first defendant, he said police found an empty injection of drugs in his vehicle without taking any previously narcotic drugs.


He said he worked as a civil servant and had two children. If he was sentenced, he would lose his job and his family. The defendant asked the court for clemency. "I admit that I am a mistake and for the first time I use drugs and I want to lose my job and dependents." You need to take drugs. "


According to the case papers, the police arrested the defendants in case of substance abuse, where their vehicle was searched and a drug injection was found in the vehicle of one of the defendants. While in the police station, the second defendant asked the first defendant to go to the bathroom to give him an injection of crystal anesthetic in his possession. The police found the syringe in the bathroom while the suspects were arrested.


According to the papers, the second defendant mentioned in the investigation of the Public Prosecution and the police that the injection of anesthetic crystal found in the bathroom belongs to him, and that he tried to get rid of him while changing his clothes in the bathroom of the police station. The substance was deposited in an addiction treatment center, and the court adjourned the case
