The American gymnasts, led by superstar Simone Biles, were crowned world team champions on Tuesday in Stuttgart (Germany), ahead of the Russians and Italy, less than ten months of the Olympics 2020.
The US title brings Biles' 22-year-old record-breaking world crowns to 15, and his world-record two-of-two total in the record held by Belarussian legend Vitaly Scherbo (23). The French, led by Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos, rank fifth (163,628), as a year ago.
