Dead and dying trout are swimming in Ljungan right now. To find out what this is due to, the fisheries consultant Kenneth Ottosson at the Housekeeping Society, in charge of breeding fish for trout, has sent a fish to SVA, the Norwegian Veterinary Institute for analysis. On Tuesday he received a reply.

"It shows that it has a bacterial infection of the genus Aeromonas but we don't know any more," says Kenneth Ottosson, who thinks it is too early to say if all fish are affected by that bacterium.

As far as Kenneth Ottosson knows, Aeromonas has not been found in Ljungan before.

- We have seen several with similar wounds so it is clear that you are worried. If we find several, we will send them in for analysis, he says.

Hear him tell in the clip.
