The parliamentarian wrote about this on his Facebook page.
According to Goncharenko, Zelensky made a statement during a conversation with US President Donald Trump, in which he sees signs of a crime under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“abuse of power or official position”).
“He sent a deputy appeal to the State Duma on the words of the president of Ukraine that“ the prosecutor general is 100% my man ”... The president of the country cannot promise anyone that the case will be investigated or that he will entrust the Prosecutor General with something to do. Nevertheless, we live in a democratic, not a monarchical country, ”said Goncharenko.
On September 25, the White House published a transcript of a telephone conversation between Trump and Zelensky, during which the Ukrainian leader assured that the new prosecutor general of Ukraine would study the situation with the son of former US vice president Joe Biden.
Subsequently, President of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi called the transcript a reason for impeachment of the American leader.
