Since the beginning of the year, 15 terrorist attacks have been prevented in the North Caucasus

“Opening the committee meeting, Bortnikov announced the prevention of 15 terrorist crimes this year and the elimination of 30 terrorist cells, the participants of which were preparing to commit crimes in places of mass presence of people, at the sites of religious organizations, and also intended to commit attacks on law enforcement officials,” - quoted by RIA Novosti NAC.

In September, it became known that in 17 regions of Russia in 2019, officers of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia identified conspiratorial cells of terrorists.

The activity of the cells was suppressed in the Krasnodar, Stavropol and Krasnoyarsk territories, Moscow, as well as Astrakhan, Vladimir, Moscow, Rostov, Samara, Saratov, Tyumen regions, the republics of Dagestan, Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
