Qatar has won the right to host the 2023 World Choir Music Symposium, following the success of the Qatari National Association, which was supported by the National Tourism Council.

The symposium, which is held once every three years, is considered the most prominent non-competitive choir in the world and is expected to attract between 2000 and 4000 thousand participants when it is held.

The selection of the winning show has continued over the past 12 months, during which the IFRC conducted a comprehensive review of all the details of the host city, the venue, and the commitment and support that the symposium will receive in the local music and cultural communities of the host country.

Akbar Al Baker, Secretary General of Qatar National Tourism Board and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, said that attracting major events - whether conferences, seminars or meetings - is one of the priority areas we focus on to promote the growth of the Qatari tourism sector.
