Several thousand people gathered at the Stadium Square in Malmö when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was there to unveil his own statue. Among them was 76-year-old Gunder Handler, who traveled all the way from Medelpad to meet his idol.
- 110 km from Medelpad in Ånge here, and now I will drive 110 km home tomorrow too. Everything to pay tribute to this person, he says.
Despite the morning's gray weather, several young people gathered early at the stage to meet their idol, and when Zlatan showed up, it had cracked in the sunshine.
- He grew up here in Malmö, he is a role model and we stand up for him, says Sabrina Lassina, who was there to see Zlatan.
