“A criminal case has been opened against the judge of the Anapa District Court of the Krasnodar Territory Vladimir Starodubtsev. He is suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 4, article 159 of the Criminal Code (“attempted fraud on a large scale”), ”the statement said.

According to the investigation, from December 2018 to February 2019, the suspect, together with his son and another person, demanded 64 million rubles from the entrepreneur, allegedly to transfer them as bribes to the judges of the Krasnodar Regional Court for making a decision on an administrative case in which the victim represented owners of disputed land.

FSB officers managed to stop criminal acts in February 2019 during the transfer to the judge and his accomplices of fake banknotes in the amount of 29.9 million rubles.

Earlier in Krasnodar, the former judge was sentenced to two years in prison for attempted fraud.

In April, SK Chairman Alexander Bastrykin opened a criminal case against a judge of the Novo-Savinovsky District Court of Kazan, 42-year-old Marina Firsova, on suspicion of mediation of bribery.
