• 10-N. Pablo Casado criticizes Pedro Sánchez's "electoralism" with pensions, but announces that he will vote in favor of raising them

  • Debate for 28-A.PP and Citizens near a dumb PSOE on pardons to 1-O leaders

It will be the last television debate before the general elections. On Thursday, November 7, La Sexta will hold together leaders of PP, PSOE, United We Can, Citizens and Vox to confront their projects, but not the candidates (who are all men), but María Jesús Montero (PSOE) , Ana Pastor (PP), Irene Montero (United We Can), Inés Arrimadas (Citizens) and Rocío Monasterio (Vox).

The big news is the entry of Pastor, brand new number two on the PP list for Madrid, which replaces Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo. In the previous campaign, the number one for Barcelona was chosen to represent the PP in the debate of women of La Sexta, but could not go, due to illness, and instead was Edurne Uriarte .

But this time it is a question of gallons: the new commitment of Pablo Casado, president of the PP, for the moderation and accentuation of the managerial profile has made him opt for the former president of Congress. Pastor, former Minister of Health with Aznar and Development with Rajoy, is one of the main representatives of the Marianist sector of the PP.

The other novelty is the entry of Vox, which is already a "significant" political group, based on the Electoral Law , and therefore can attend debates. The funny thing is that the representative will not be a head of the Congress list - such as the general secretary of the Vox parliamentary group, Macarena Olona , number one for Granada - nor one of the candidates who accompany Santiago Abascal in the Madrid ballot, but the Party leader in the Community of Madrid, Rocío Monasterio.

The eve of the campaign closure

This debate to five - moderated, curiously, by another Ana Pastor , the journalist - will take place the day before the close of the election campaign, as reported by the chain. In addition, as in previous debates, the positions on the set of the representatives, the order of intervention and the turn for the "golden minute" will be drawn. The questions (organized in blocks) will once again be based on the journalistic criteria and, thanks to the 'time room', it will be balanced that the representatives of each party have similar intervention times.

Three days before, in principle, the debate of the presidential candidates will take place. The acting Government President, Pedro Sánchez, has accepted a single meeting, on November 4. But the leader of the PP, Pablo Casado, has asked to pass it the next day, so that the data of the October strike are already known, in order to focus the verbal contest on the economy.
