Montpellier's top 14 club has been fined 470,000 euros for exceeding the salary cap + during the 2017-2018 season, the national rugby league announced on Monday.
The club has been penalized for having exceeded by more than "428,000 euros" the ceiling of the payroll set at 11.3 million euros per season, details the NRL in a statement. Montpellier has the opportunity to appeal to the commission of the FFR "within 7 days," says the NRL.
