34 people voted yes, 26 no and 1 abstained when the city council held a meeting on Monday night. M, KD and SD thus got through the proposal and want the begging ban to be introduced at the end of the year in the municipality. Now the county administrative board will try the case.

The ban will apply at, among other things, the recycling stations at the Arninge trading area and Flygbacken Hägernäs, as well as nearby shopping malls.

- There have been some incidents where people have been to recycle their clothes and so suddenly a person has been standing and rotating in their car or trying to force things, says Erik Andersson (M) and continues:

- It creates a feeling of insecurity and people have resorted to recycling or booking. You don't want that confrontation.

How many people are begging in the municipality of Täby?

- According to the police, there are about 15 people. But it is enough that it is an individual who creates insecurity for us to act. The number is not essential, says Erik Andersson (M), chairman of the local council in Täby municipality.
