Lena Johansson received an offer to take care of the mixed breed dog Nalle.

- There was an acquaintance who called me and said, "Now I have a dog for you". You have an animal heart so I thought - yes okay then, says Lena Johansson, who has little Teddy in the knee.

Husse to hospital - Teddy was left

Nalle's owner became ill and went to the laser hospital. Remaining in the dwelling was Nalle, the housekeeper could no longer take care of him. In the end, Nalle was taken care of by the county administrative board for repositioning.

But there was not much that Lena knew about the dog or what it was about. But after a first meeting, there wasn't much to think about, Nalle would come home with her, says Lena Johansson.

- I brought him home - because that was the case, she says, laughing while looking down at Nalle, who keeps a close eye on the surroundings.

Extra expenses for new owners

However, there were a lot of expenses, Nalle's fur needed care, his teeth had been inflamed and castration was added. In addition, there was some to work with. He needed to be room clean and more secure in himself, as he probably spent a lot of time indoors.

- He didn't look like he does today. It was seen that Hussein, in this case, had to spend a little more hours taking care of him, says Susann Anckarman, who works with animal affairs at the county administrative board in Östergötland.

Prefer men

Today, Nalle has lived for a year in his new home and he is incredibly well-liked and he can choose for himself, has a special place.

- He loves people, especially men. He has had a husband, so my husband and Nalle clicked right away, says Lena Johansson.
