The police received a telephone call from Rune Haettner in Åtvidaberg on Monday afternoon. He told me there was a Berguv on the roof of his car that refused to move.

- It just sat there and I was thinking about going out and petting on it myself, but because it is peaceful, it felt better to wait for the police, says Rune Haettner to SVT News East.

After the rock quarry sat there for three hours, the police came.

- They gently tapped it with a broomstick and then it moved and then flew away, says Rune Haettner.

Police spokesman Åsa Willsund says that because Berguven is protected, it becomes the responsibility of the police to look after the bird and decide what to do.

- It may be about transporting the bird or at worst killing it, but in this case everything went well, says Åsa Willsund.
