Already deprived of Paul Pogba and Hugo Lloris, Didier Deschamps was resolved on Monday to send home Lyonnais Leo Dubois, a four-day trip to Iceland qualifying for Euro-2020. And the physical state of Kylian Mbappé and Lucas Hernandez raises questions.

Doubt was raised shortly after the arrival of the OL defender at Clairefontaine mid-afternoon: the doctor of the Blues "confirmed the diagnosis of his counterpart Lyonnais, namely a muscle injury of the left thigh" contracted Sunday night at the derby lost in Saint-Etienne, said the French Football Federation.

Dubois, left at the disposal of his club, is replaced by Djibril Sidibé, called for the first time since March despite a very limited playing time since his transfer from Monaco to Everton this summer.

The world champion, who has not had a minute in Blue since the last group match of the World Cup-2018 against Denmark, takes advantage of the lack of competition in the right-back position, behind the holder Benjamin Pavard.

Already deprived of many players at the rally in September, Didier Deschamps found a month later a team still used.

For Pogba and Lloris, two indisputable holders, must pass their turn: the first is touched ankle while the second, victim of dislocation of the left elbow, is unavailable for the end of the playoffs, according to the coach.

- Play with Bayern -

Will they be the only ones? The beginning of the gathering should allow to know more, in particular on the state of Mbappé. For the striker of Paris SG is uncertain: he also hit a thigh, the first injury of this importance in his young career, he was sidelined Saturday for the reception of Angers in the league.

"It's not a relapse but the scar and the nerve are too close, we have an uncomfortable reaction and we have to treat," said coach Thomas Tuchel, without putting pressure on the coach Deschamps.

He promised that he was "not there to take risks" with "Kyky", he will carefully monitor the assessment that was to be made by the medical team of the Blues from the training center of Yvelines.

The unknown is the same for Hernandez. The defender of Bayern Munich, who suffers from a recalcitrant knee and did not play Saturday in the Bundesliga, was expected despite the protests of his club, which judges unfit and was "irritated" Monday by the choice of the French Federation to appeal to him.

Deschamps responded with a smile at Bayern in a press conference: "It does not bother me, it's their players, they do everything to protect them." But "they must not think they'll put a little pressure on me."

- Giroud: rhythm to find -

If Mbappé and Hernandez were to take part in the training planned for the end of the afternoon, it would be a serious sign of optimism. But it is doubtful, the staff usually taking no risk at the beginning of the meeting.

This first session will be an opportunity for Deschamps to begin to probe the state of form of Olivier Giroud.

The striker Chelsea, completely in trouble playing time, was not even summoned by his coach Frank Lampard Sunday in the league. Deschamps reiterated that "the situation is complicated", without being alarmist. "I will not worry or reassure him."

Another Londoner is in better shape: N'Golo Kanté. Absent on injury in September, the midfielder of the world is back at the right time, for two potentially decisive matches for the qualification to the Euro-2020. He even scored Sunday.

After six games out of ten, the Blues share the head of Group H with Turkey - they face Monday, October 14 at the Stade de France - and ahead of Iceland, third, by three points. The first two of the group will win their ticket for the European Championship.
