Hariri stressed that his government stands against any hostile activities targeting the Arab Gulf states, praising the UAE's support for Lebanon, and criticized what he described as Iran's recklessness, which put the Persian Gulf and regional peace on the brink of explosion, and led to the high level of tension in the region.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saad Hariri discussed bilateral relations and ways of developing them at all levels, especially economic, investment and development, in support of the common interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, the Arabian Gulf and the Arab region and their repercussions on regional and global security, as well as Arab, regional and international issues of common concern.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, is keen to support its relations with brotherly Lebanon at various levels and stands by him in all matters. For his part, Saad Hariri thanked the UAE and its leadership for their continued support to Lebanon and stand by him in facing the challenges facing him, stressing that this support is a reflection of the continuous approach of the UAE in its relations with Lebanon and its people. In an interview with WAM, Hariri said: “As prime minister, I reiterate that I reject any Lebanese involvement in the conflicts around us. I also stress that the Lebanese government refuses to intervene or participate in any hostile activities of any organization targeting the Gulf states. ».

"The Lebanese government has taken a decision not to interfere in foreign conflicts or in the internal affairs of Arab countries, but unfortunately this decision is violated, not by the government but by one of the political parties involved in the government," he said.

Hariri stressed that Hezbollah should be accused of being part of the regional system and not as part of the Lebanese government, stressing that Lebanon is an "integral part of the Arab world and its stability is linked to the stability and security of the Arab world in general, especially in In terms of political and economic aspects ».

Saad Hariri is leading a delegation of six ministers and senior officials to participate in the second "UAE-Lebanese Investment Conference", which was held in Abu Dhabi yesterday.

Hariri pointed out that this visit also represents an opportunity to "meet the Lebanese community in the UAE, which is the largest Lebanese community in the Gulf region."

He stressed that the Lebanese community in the UAE is a "strategic wealth for Lebanon and the UAE", adding that "it is very important that the two countries find ways, to take advantage of the networks of Lebanese communities in Africa, and in other regions to benefit Lebanon and the UAE."

The Lebanese Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the Gulf support for Lebanese talent, pointing out that the Gulf region has become an area of ​​utmost importance for Lebanese employees, businessmen and shareholders.

He pointed out that the GCC states regard Lebanon as an Arab oasis and a center of attraction for business and capital. These factors have contributed to the promotion of common interests between Lebanon and the Gulf States. Hariri stressed that the political leadership in the UAE attaches great importance to the security and stability of Lebanon, adding that he looks forward to strengthening his country's relations with the UAE.

Commenting on the drone attacks on two oil facilities in Saudi Arabia on September 17, Hariri said: "It was a reckless step that put the Arabian Gulf and regional peace on the brink of explosion, and led to high tension in the region."

He added: "We in Lebanon trust the wisdom of the leadership of Saudi Arabia, which highlighted the deliberate objectives of this aggression, and did not respond to attempts to provoke it from the other side." Hariri proposed a political solution to the crisis through dialogue, and stressed that the international community must shoulder its responsibilities, to stop interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries.
