Ankara (AP) - Following the transfer of US troops from the border area between Turkey and Syria, the Turkish government has reiterated its readiness to support the announced military offensive in northern Syria. Turkey is determined to drive out terrorists east of the Euphrates River, the Turkish news agency Anadolu quotes a Foreign Ministry spokesman. The goal of the Turkish offensive is the YPG Kurdish militia. They were a close ally of the US in the fight against IS IS. Turkey sees in the YPG a terrorist organization.
