Luxembourg (dpa) - The use of EU funds continue to be criticized or tricked to a significant extent. The European Court of Auditors, in its new control report, concludes that more than € 3 billion was spent unlawfully in the previous financial year. This corresponds to an estimated error rate of 2.6 percent for the expenditures of around € 121 billion. Room for improvement there is, according to Court of Auditors Klaus -Heiner Lehne, especially in regulations.
