“Tomorrow at a meeting of the commission we will summarize the results of monitoring the election campaign in Russia,” Klimov quoted RIA Novosti as saying.

According to him, foreign opponents used the elections to undermine the political situation in the country, with the goal of "making a semblance of Hong Kong on our streets."

He noted a large number of facts of interference, as well as accusations of the West against Russia about the country's behavior as a lawless state.

It is reported that the commission plans to prepare a comparative analysis of the facts of interference in the regional elections in 2018 and 2019 by the end of this year.

Klimov added that a repeated analysis of all legislative and other possibilities of protecting the country's state sovereignty should be carried out.

He also put forward a proposal to raise the topic of the inadmissibility of interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states within the framework of PACE and the OSCE PA.

“We will provide you with a large amount of data on such efforts not only in relation to our country,” Klimov said.

Earlier, the State Duma commission to investigate interference in Russia's internal affairs instructed to prepare amendments on fines of up to 50 million rubles for violating Internet resources of Russia's electoral legislation.

On September 27, it was reported that the relevant State Duma commission had concluded that the German publication Deutsche Welle had violated Russian law by publishing material calling for an unauthorized rally in Moscow.
