“An administrative case was considered on the fact of a fire that occurred on October 3 on the balcony of a multi-storey residential building in the city of Izobilny. The cause of the fire is the carelessness of smoking, ”he said.

According to the representative of the department, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the culprit under the article of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia “Violation of fire safety requirements”.

“The guilty person was sentenced to a fine of 4 thousand rubles,” he added.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a resident of the Stavropol Territory faces administrative liability due to a fire resulting from smoking on the balcony.

Since October 1, various regulatory legal acts have entered into force in Russia. So, now it is forbidden to make open fire on balconies and loggias of apartments, hostels and hotels.

As the media wrote, a similar ban would affect smoking, but the Ministry of Emergencies emphasized that the rules do not prohibit smoking on balconies, but in case of fire it will be easier for victims to receive compensation.
