This week, news came out that 40 percent of the country's cultural schools must cut back on their activities in the coming years. But no such clouds of concern are visible in Norsjö.

- For us it's really good. We have a cultural school that has evolved in recent years. We offer more options in the offering than before, says Mari-Louise Skoogh, Head of Culture and Public Health at Norsjö Municipality.

"Trying to invest a lot"

She goes on to say that there are no cuts at this time. One reason why the situation looks bright is that the cultural school grant has been reintroduced, something Norsjö has greatly benefited from.

- We try to invest quite a lot on the culture in the municipality in collaboration with other actors, such as the Study Association. We are a small municipality so we try to find different solutions based on our conditions, ”says Skoogh.

On Saturday, the music school celebrated 50 years of open house and performances.
