Olsson broadly shares the image of an assembly that, in exchange for a state-of-the-art and multi-functional church, sacrificed the previously stable economy.

- We made the choice to carry out the renovation of Fredrikskyrkan and then also included the sale of a number of properties. There has been a political consensus around these decisions. No one has had the opposite view, she says.

But the decision has also made the church indebted - its own money was not enough and now the church has loans of about SEK 50 million.

- We are in budget preparation now and it is general restraint that applies. This is the situation, says Gertie Olsson.

Later this fall, a review of the pastorate's organization is expected.

And it may be relevant to lose weight in the current organization.

- There are no guarantees, says the church council chairman.
