Patron of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC), Mr. Kamto was the main rival of Paul Biya during the last presidential election. He was present at the hearing this Saturday, October 5 in Yaoundé. The day before, President Biya announced in a tweet the ending of the prosecution against "some" opposition leaders, including those of the MRC.

In Cameroon, Maurice Kamto and dozens of opponents will be released. They appeared this Saturday in the early afternoon before the military court of the capital, Yaoundé, who then declared the abandonment of prosecutions.
