“I said thank-you words, thanked for everything that not only Vladimir Vladimirovich did for me, but also the entire state machine, which worked to ensure that I was free,” RIA Novosti quoted Vyshinsky as saying.

He noted that he expressed gratitude to Putin for assistance in his release of the Commissioner for Human Rights Tatyana Moskalkova, the Foreign Ministry and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak.

According to the journalist, Putin also asked him about his future plans and asked how comfortable Vyshinsky feels in the country.

On August 28, a court in Kiev released Vyshinsky from custody under personal guarantee. September 7, he arrived from Kiev to Moscow.

A hearing on his case will be held in Kiev on November 6.

Vyshinsky was detained in Kiev on May 15, 2018 on suspicion of supporting the self-proclaimed republics of Donbass and treason.
