End of election campaign this Friday night for a vote scheduled Sunday, October 6. A week before the second round of the presidential election, seven million Tunisians elect their deputies in a one-round poll. More than 15,000 candidates on 1,500 lists are running for the 217 seats in the PRA, the Assembly of People's Representatives.

The wind of "disengagement" that blew on the first round of the presidential election is once again preparing to sweep members of the political class in place.

First force in Parliament, Ennahdha , who plays his future, could maintain a consistent block. The Islamist-inspired party has a real electoral base and its leader, Rached Ghannouchi, who is appearing for the first time at the deputation, would even target the perch.

For its part, the party Qalb Tounes, chaired by Nabil Karoui , seems to confirm the momentum that has led its candidate in the second round of the presidential election. The imprisoned businessman would even target, in the event of a presidential defeat, the post of prime minister.

Other groups, such as Aïch Tounsi, whose slogan is "we are not a party", led by the entrepreneur and patron Olfa Terras, or Al-Karama, led by the Islamist lawyer Seifeddine Makhlouf, are popular. undeniable.

But these are the independent lists, which could, as in the municipal last year, be propelled to the first place. They represent an alternative to traditional parties and often campaign against the system in place.

The large number of parties and the massive presence of independents with diverse aspirations may complicate the task of forming a government that will fall to the leading party. The latter must, within two months, obtain the approval of a majority of deputies, a task that may turn into a real headache.
