The French Anti-Terror Prosecutor's Office ( PNAT , for its acronym in French) have taken charge this Friday of the investigation of the knife attack that left five dead on Thursday at the Paris Police Headquarters .

The investigation has resumed anti-terrorism as "murder and attempted murder of a representative of the public authority, with a terrorist objective", as well as "terrorist criminal association", as reported by the PNAT.

The murderer, who was 45 years old and worked since 2003 as a computer scientist in the Paris Police Prefecture , was deaf and speech-impaired, and had converted to Islam a little less than a year ago.

Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said a few hours after the attack that the aggressor had never had behavioral problems or had given warning signs.
