The Minister of Community Development, Hessa Bint Issa Buhumaid, has announced the launch of an annual system to evaluate the performance of centers of people of determination and the award of the best teacher at the level of centers, starting from the current academic year 2019/2020, in an effort to develop performance and stimulate the will of excellence among the administrative bodies. And teaching in the centers, for the benefit and positive for students with determination.

“The goodness of communities is accompanied by the sincerity of teachers,” Buhumaid said during a ceremony held by the ministry on the occasion of the Teacher's Day, which commemorates the achievements of the administrative and teaching bodies in the centers of people of determination. With the support and guidance of the leadership and the efforts and achievements of the people of the field, they have become accomplished, productive and always optimistic heroes with a future befitting their ambitions and the aspirations of our leadership.

During the ceremony, Wafa Hamad bin Sulaiman, Director of Welfare and Rehabilitation Department of the Ministry of Community Development, gave a detailed presentation on the best teacher award, which was established at the level of the centers of the people of concern. Mechanisms, evaluation plan, time and post-evaluation, as well as global comparisons.

She said: “The rating scale includes a ranking of the centers, where the performance is evaluated by external evaluators at 70% and parents 30%, and the centers that meet the quality standards will be awarded a gold star, then the quality standards achieved a silver star, pointing to 21 axes on which the evaluation is based. "In addition to 96 criteria, the number of indicators monitored by the annual assessment of the centers of concern is 453."

More than 254 employees, including teachers, specialists and administrators, work in eight centers for people with disabilities, autism and early intervention under the umbrella of the Ministry of Community Development, distributed throughout the UAE, which provides educational and rehabilitation services, to stimulate productivity for students with disabilities, who are on the seats.
